Life Skills Training
Both programs has a life skills curriculum in place with lesson plans that
include "hands-on" activities that teach healthy attitudes, values and skills
that build self-image, esteem, and performance level in applying an array of
life skills in daily life that promote healthy living and self-sufficiency.
Some of the topics include: personal development, household and money
management, creating a Life Book of essential documents, exploring career
options and gaining employment, etc. Individual and group life skills
training happen weekly and are provided by program staff and community
resources. |
