LOCAL HERO AWARD
The Maui Farm has been recognized by the readers of
Edible Hawaiian Islands magazine as a 2010 Local
Hero in our Maui Community! We thank all of our
friends and supporters for casting their vote for
The Maui Farm in the "Best of Non-Profit
Organization" category. We are honored to be
recognized for our important work in our community,
as we encourage individual and family
self-sufficiency through farm-based, family-style
residential programs.

Whole Foods Market-Maui Mall is partnering
with The Maui Farm and providing exciting
opportunities for our nonprofit organization!
Friday,
April 30, 9 am - 1 pm Furlough "Fry" Day
Whole Foods Market invites families to spend their
Furlough "Fry"
day together, enjoying a festive farmer's market,
cooking demonstrations by Chef David Paul of David
Paul's Island Grill, as well as container garden
demonstrations by The Maui Farm.
Chef
David Paul created the Furlough "Fry" day program as
an educational forum. Group participation, hands on
cooking lessons and food tasting will enlighten our
children about sustainable and local agriculture and
the farm to table programs.

The Maui Farm will sell herb starts and
produce, as well as hand out information about our organization
Kahanu Aina will provide samples of their produce and share information about their farm
