Description
The Maui Farm is a nonprofit organization providing a continuum of residential programs for youth ages ten and older who are referred through the State's child welfare, juvenile justice and behavioral health systems. The Maui Farm's unique "`Ohana Model" offers an opportunity for youth to experience the benefits of living in a family-oriented environment while receiving services to address emotional and behavioral challenges. The first in Hawai`i to implement a therapeutic farm program in a residential setting. The Maui Farm supports youth in developing skills, learning responsibility, and gaining self worth through positive experiences with plants and animals.
